Microsoft office standard 2010 wont uninstall free
Windows applied a new update this morning and since then one of my monitors isn’t working. If I have it plugged in by itself it stays active the light stays green and the loading screen appears for a second, but then the screen turns black even though Windows is obviously running.
The moment I plug in my second monitor the login screen appears on that screen as normal. If I have both plugged in at once the first monitor goes into idle mode, as in the light turns yellow. This has happened before after an update and I managed to fix it then, but I’m not sure how. I fiddled with a bunch of things and then rebooted and it suddenly worked.
That was a while ago and I’ve forgotten what exactly I did, unfortunately. This time I’ve tried a number of things. I tried unplugging the monitor from the computer and plugging it back in, and I tried a different DVI port but neither worked. I tried updating the graphics card driver, disabling the graphics card, reinstalling it, nothing. I checked to see if I could roll back the driver to an earlier installation but the option was greyed out.
I tried changing the screen refresh rate from 60 to 59 but that didn’t help. I haven’t tried going back to a restore point before the latest Windows update because I didn’t try that last time so I figure this can be fixed without resorting to that.

The problem persists, here’s what I’ve done so far. Rebooting did not help. My computer is a custom build so there’s no sticker with the model number on it. I ran Driver Booster to scan for the rest of the driver updates, everything is up to date there.
The one thing I didn’t try was searching manually for outdated drivers, should I just download old ones from the website and try installing those? I tried manually downloading and installing the latest Nvidia driver, no luck. I also tried the previously installed drivers and they didn’t work, either. I haven’t tried another monitor, I might see if I can borrow one that has a DVI connection to see if it works. How do I reset the monitor to default?
I checked the manual for my monitor and didn’t find anything about resetting it to default, even ran a search for the word ‘default’. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member.

Previous Next. Hi Eva. Then you will know you’ve tried everything in addition to Windows Update drivers. This reinstalls Windows in about an hour while saving your files, apps and most settings, solves many problems while also bringing it up to the latest version which you need anyway and by the most stable method. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to rate my post, I will keep working with you until it’s resolved.

I’ll be very grateful if you have any further suggestions! Did you try another monitor or resetting the monitor to default?
If the buttons are not intuitive then you’d need to look up the monitor’s Manual on it’s manufacturer’s Support Downloads web page to read how. These are not usually hard to find if it’s a known brand. Not all monitors have a reset to Default. You need to tinker with the color settings to see if they change anything. But if it works with HDMI connection and you have already tried all other drivers then the port may be the problem.
I’ll see if I can borrow a DVI monitor tomorrow and check. I’ll let you know! OK, get some sleep! I will, and thanks for all the help so far! This site in other languages x.

If your keyboard and mouse are USB, first program the power button to effect the needed restart after Rolling back or uninstalling the driver.
Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account.
